About The Position

The temporary summer camp worker will serve as an instructor for reading enrichment, STEM, and financial literacy summer camps. Curriculum and instructional support will be provided for all subject areas. Camp workers must keep track of material usage and maintain confidential records. The Education Librarian on staff will assist with scheduling and planning activities. Other duties may be required, as assigned. Job training will occur in late May and camp activities will run from June to mid-July. Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer. The department is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time. A Presidential Proclamation issued on September 19, 2025, imposes a $100,000 fee on all new H‑1B petitions filed after September 21, 2025, and Texas A&M University–Central Texas will not pay this fee. Additionally, a moratorium issued by Governor Abbott on January 27, 2026, restricts the filing of new H‑1B petitions unless approved by the Texas Workforce Commission. Due to these restrictions, applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer, and the department is currently unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of any employment visa. All positions are security-sensitive.
