About The Position

This is a part time/seasonal position to instruct youth with proper fundamentals needed to play tennis both recreationally and competitively.

Requirements

• 1 Year experience instructing or playing tennis.
• Must pass required State and Federal Background Checks
• Knowledge of various tennis techniques and rules and the ability to instruct youth.
• Good leadership, communication, and social skills.
• Ability to communicate policies, rules, and regulations to all that use the facility
• Ability to provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation.
• Ability to communicate clearly with youth participating in Tennis.
• Communicate effectively with participants and parents.
• Give clear and concise instructions.
• Ability to demonstrate physical fitness to include frequent light to occasional heavy lifting (up to 15 lbs.) standing, and walking for long periods of time, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time and intermittently.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms, push items overhead, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Ability to talk, hear, and see.

Responsibilities

• Give daily instruction to youth ages 6-18 years old
• Effectively utilize drills as well as games to make experience both informative and fun
• Identify where participants are lacking and how they can improve their level of play
• Ensure participants are in a safe environment at all times
• Communicate with parents, participants, instructors, and Lead Instructor
