About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. Be involved in and aware of all aspects of day-to-day cement terminal operations. Operate and maintain terminal equipment such as track mobiles, car pullers, and other machinery. Inspect, load, and unload materials from trucks and railcars. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment problems to minimize downtime and ensure proper operation. Ensure accuracy of orders and documents and troubleshoot any discrepancies. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment and maintain general housekeeping of the facility. Assist with inventory management and record-keeping.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, including tracking cement inventory using systems such as SAP.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic mechanical skills and ability to perform general grounds maintenance (mowing, trimming, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures and ability to work at heights, including on top of silos when required.
  • Successful candidates must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
  • Some positions require FMCSA-regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
