The Test Associate is expected to perform a variety of tasks in a production manufacturing environment with guidance from supervision, line lead, work instructions and procedures. Set up, operate and troubleshoot Test equipment to perform operation, and ensure quality acceptance of production assemblies, subassemblies and weapon systems. Tester monitors the production line and related equipment for proper functionality. If any test failures or malfunctions are detected, tester halts production until the problem is fixed. Tester records equipment data and summarizes data by initiating and completing operational and quality assurance documents. Checks, tests and troubleshoots systems for conformance to specifications. May assist in directing work, assigning, and outlining tasks. May work as a production operator when test work is slow. This is a second shift position. This position is located at the Raytheon Dine Facility in Farmington, NM. RTX Dine Facility adheres to the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in areas of recruitment and hiring practices. What You Will Do Employees are expected to perform the following duties and tasks with guidance from supervision, work instructions and procedures. Sets up, operate automatic and manual test equipment to perform operational checkout tests, functional tests and quality acceptance of production assemblies, subassemblies and weapon systems. Record test data and summarize qualitatively the condition functional assembly and subassembly tests by initiating and completing operational and quality assurance documents. General knowledge on how to perform systems, subsystems and test equipment functional testing and operational checkout of production assemblies and weapon systems; detect malfunctions, such as electronic and electromechanical failures, hydraulic or pneumatic leaks and out-of-control conditions. Understand, determine causes and correct malfunctions by using systems diagnostic features and special test equipment as necessary to ensure proper performance. Ability to instruct others to isolate and correct the malfunctions as required. Apply and obtain confidential government security clearance if applicable, analytical and interactive and computer literacy skills. Maintain skills to calibrate, modify, repair and proof measuring and test equipment by working with Company processes, manufacturer's specifications, technical data and written or verbal instructions. Understands and performs all job duties in accordance with the appropriate operating procedures/instructions related to all environmental/safety requirements and regulations governing the work area within an individual’s classification. Maintain good interpersonal skills, high level of oral and written communication and able to cope in a fast-paced multicultural work environment with emphasis on test equipment maintenance and operations of assigned testing of production hardware. Position may require standing or sitting for long periods of time, walking, bending, stooping and must be able to lift 50 lbs. Valid state driver’s license.
