Summary: This role will be supporting the engineering development team in software performance tuning and verification in ADAS group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 2+yrs relevant experience
  • Education with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical/Electrical/Software/Controls Engineering Required
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink
  • Experience with Vector Canape/Canalyzer/Canoe
  • Experience with ETAS INCA
  • Experience with Python/C+/VBA
  • Experience with Automotive CAN communication
  • Experience with Co-simulation and integrated real time modelling
  • Experience with dSpace HILS equipment including SCALEXIO LabBox, SCALEXIO Customized, and SCLX Processing Unit, in addition to rapid prototyping equipment including MicroAutoBox
  • Strong Organizational/Documentation/Report skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group setting, including essential technical guidance to support Senior Management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage schedules for development projects/assignments and coordinate with corollary departments
  • Conduct pre-test support, including vehicle preparation and data acquisition equipment setup
  • Conduct assigned driving tests on proving grounds or public roads while ensuring test data is correctly gathered
  • Perform data analysis, summarize test results into reports, and present to appropriate members of the group
  • Perform benchmarking of competitor integrated control features through online research and in-vehicle testing
  • Aid in the creation of new software features by supporting requirement specification and logic creation
  • Process improvement support
  • Conduct troubleshooting and aid in the implementation of countermeasures
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems with moderate to minimal guidance.
  • Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve product and/or processes.
  • Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs.
  • Travel to client sites required.
