About The Position

The Opportunity: When a user tries new sof tware, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful sof tware development—and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need a test engineering expert like you who knows how to thoroughly test sof tware and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best sof tware possible. As a test engineer on our team, you’ll lead your team as they work with testers, developers, and engineers to evaluate sof tware developed for the DoD. You’ll oversee the creation of a test plan with test cases based on user stories. You’ll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the sof tware performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You’ll automate continuous security and performance testing, and monitor the health of systems. Join us. The world can’t wait.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience developing and analyzing tests for products and systems
  • Experience configuring hardware and operating environments to complete assigned testing
  • Experience with writing or assisting in the development of test plans and test procedures
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Electronics Engineering, or an Engineering field and 6+ years of experience in engineering, or 8+ years of experience in engineering in lieu of a degree

The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
