Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2019, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have. As a Hardware Test Engineering Intern, you will support the design and execution of hardware validation tests for a new product at Redwood Materials. You will work alongside hardware test, design and reliability engineers and gain hands-on exposure across mechanical, electrical and software engineering disciplines. This internship will provide practical experience throughout the hardware development cycle, including instrumentation, design of experiments, design validation, test automation and reliability testing. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented engineering student who enjoys hands-on work, thinking through complex hardware interactions, and applying engineering fundamentals to real-world product development challenges.
