Your opportunity : The Test Engineering Specialist is responsible for providing technical support in the development of product improvements and design changes to ensure customer product expectations are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience required.
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent years of job experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble prototype units to print specifications from internal customers and fabricate parts, as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to test/lab techs.
  • Perform testing in multiple areas of air, sound, vibration, balance, motor, high temperature and/or structural.
  • Understand the intent of the test standards to provide more insightful analysis.
  • Document test results to provide to internal customers and external third parties (i.e. AMCA / UL).
  • Assist in the evaluation of test information to determine additional tests need on the unit and interpret the data to form conclusions.
  • Provide test data to internal and external customers in paper or electronic format.
  • Give correlation to past testing by showing past test data conclusions (i.e. Multiple graphs) to aid in the current test data conclusions.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance for test stand, including monitoring for replacement parts.
  • Keep work area clean and safe for co-workers and visitors.
  • Following established timelines for project completion.
  • Frequent communication with internal customers regarding testing schedule.
