About The Position

OneWA is a statewide ERP transformation replacing AFRS and related legacy systems with Workday for finance, HR, payroll, procurement, and budget. WaTech’s scope is to remediate four systems (Apptio, FINS, HRMS dependency, Salesforce) and ensure their alignment and integration with Workday Phase 1A Core Financials. The SOW’s objective is to ensure successful planning, execution, and management of WaTech testing and cutover activities so Workday and WaTech systems work together with minimal risk at go‑live.

Requirements

• Requires ≥10 years’ experience leading testing or development for large SaaS/ERP implementations and ≥10 years in test automation, plus mastery in test design, Azure DevOps, and cutover planning.
• Emphasizes strong leadership, communication, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously update a comprehensive test strategy and test plan aligned with the evolving OneWA program test phases, timelines, and environments.
• Lead end‑to‑end testing across WaTech and relevant OneWA scenarios, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and business‑led UAT.
• Use Azure DevOps to manage test cases, execution, dashboards, and defects as the system of record.
• Coordinate with OneWA testing leadership and WaTech SMEs to define scope, validate priorities, and obtain approvals on testing artifacts.
• Test strategy and planning: risk‑based, enterprise‑aligned strategy; define KPIs; prioritize high‑risk use cases and allocate resources; maintain documentation and communicate readiness.
• Test case development: create and maintain traceable, end‑to‑end and integration‑focused test cases (including WaTech‑specific gaps) with a central repository and RTM reviewed and approved by SMEs and PM.
• Test execution and defect management: manage execution across all test phases, ensure SME participation, define severity and escalation, run regular defect triage, and provide defect and risk reporting.
• Test data and environment management: define and coordinate environment and data needs, ensure stable, production‑like and secure data, and escalate environment/data readiness as program risks.
• Test automation: evaluate tools, build and maintain regression/CI automation focused on high‑risk, repetitive scenarios, and ensure AI‑related tools comply with WaTech governance or fall back to manual testing.
• Cutover planning and execution: provide testing inputs to cutover decisions, lead WaTech cutover tasks and coordination, and ensure test exit criteria (defects dispositioned, RTM complete, UAT approved, formal sign‑off) are met before go‑live.
