Role Summary As the successful candidate, being an Aflex Test and Pack Technician means you will be excited to work in a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, where the culture can be felt and is welcoming. You as the The Quality Control (QC) Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all Aflex hose assemblies meet company and customer quality standards before shipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to testing protocols, and the ability to manage final documentation and shipment preparation.

Requirements

  • Technical Aptitude: Understanding of mechanical and technical concepts related to quality processes.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to focus on intricate tasks and ensure accuracy when checking work orders.
  • Problem-Solving: Capacity to identify issues and apply troubleshooting skills to resolve problems.
  • Time Management: Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Team Player: Capability to work collaboratively in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects when required.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication to report issues, follow instructions, and collaborate with team members effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is a plus.
  • Previous experience in Quality, manufacturing, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, machinery, and quality control processes.

Responsibilities

  • Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow safety protocols and guidelines when handling tools, equipment, and materials to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform pressure and integrity tests on assembled hoses in accordance with Aflex standards.
  • Inspect assemblies for defects, damage, or non-conformances prior to shipment.
  • Accurately document results of inspections and tests.
  • Generate and review Certificates of Conformance (CoC) for each order.
  • Ensure proper recording and traceability of all tested assemblies.
  • Update and maintain records in AX system to reflect test status and release approvals.
  • Clean, bag, and label finished hoses per customer requirements.
  • Verify all items match order specifications before packaging for shipment.
  • Work closely with warehouse and assembly teams to ensure timely order completion.
  • Communicate any quality issues or rework requirements to assembly and management.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to assemblers to improve build quality.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to SOPs.
  • Other duties as assigned
