The Test Solutions (TS) Effectors Center within the Hardware Engineering Discipline is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing Production and Engineering test equipment solutions for all Raytheon products. We are hands-on designers using the latest technology and tools and integrating state-of-the-art software solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. TS products are in engineering labs, in the field, and in factories and production testing environments utilized for testing weapon system products. TS has job opportunities across all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including demonstrations, early engineering tests, design verification tests, production, and post-production sustainment. The Test Solutions Effectors - AUR (All Up Round) Department, 12423, seeks a M5 Senior Manager, Electrical Engineer who can lead a section of Electrical Engineer professionals responsible for all elements of Electrical Engineering Design through all lifecycles to include but not limited to development, transition to production, design verification, qualification, and Manufacturing Acceptance of final product going to the customer. The selected candidate will support and drive the development of electrical designs, Interconnect designs, electrical system analysis and integrated development environment specified by the factory solutions and the TEE organization. You will establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with your team to ensure alignment with the department and directorate. You will conduct formal and informal performance reviews and career development discussions with team members. This position is 100% on site in Tucson, Arizona

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Minimum of ten (10) or more years of professional electrical engineering design experience or leading electrical engineering designers through the Raytheon design process
  • Experience with electrical engineering design to include troubleshooting, analysis, and test
  • Experience leading teams at a high level.
  • Experience presenting to leadership and peers.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • An advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Previous experience with career development and personal skills development of team members.
  • Extensive experience developing TE for production test environments.
  • Previous work experience developing artifacts as an electrical, software, mechanical, systems or configurable logic.

  • Working understanding of the TSEC One Page Process.

  • Experience working with Program configuration management principles and tools such as IMS, PMX tools, or tracking books.
  • Knowledge of business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of approximately 12 - 18 section members.
  • The Section Lead role is anticipated to be approximately 15% of the work week, with the remainder of the work week charged to program contracts, within the TSEC organization.
  • Lead by example, adhere to, and ensure alignment with Raytheon Values and Behaviors.
  • Ability to support both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams in the operation, testing and troubleshooting of systems.
  • Provide independent health checks by evaluating program’s metrics.
  • Involvement in center initiatives.
  • Interact with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Cross Product Team (CPT) / Directorate Leads, as well as other functional management to drive results to achieve program and business unit objectives.
  • Support TSEC Functional hiring goals as well as leads the onboarding of new section personnel.
