About The Position

This position will primarily be responsible for conducting product tests according to their test procedure and perform to their designed standards. The test methodology depends on the product being tested. Test Technician II work in a wide range of fields, from electrical, mechanical, and environmental up to calibration of test equipments. Working conditions may vary, some technicians can spend most of the day on their feet at workstations, while others stay seated and perform automated test using Automated Test Equipment. Test Technician II may train Test Technician I and may assist Test Engineers with clarifying test documentation and troubleshoot test failures and supports in qualification ATP’s.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree related to Electronics, Engineering, Technology or a related field
  • HS Diploma/ GED Required
  • 5+ years experience in a related field during which time, a good working knowledge of typical lab instrumentation, lab test equipment, proper testing techniques, and safety awareness has been learned
  • Familiarity with ESD practices
  • Must have good organizational skills and be accurate with details
  • Able to multitask, communicate well, and train others as needed
  • Strong team player who is able to interface with a variety of groups
  • Excellent record of attendance and reliability
  • Must be able to speak/write/read English.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions (test procedures)
  • Able to read and understand wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
  • Up to 5 years experience in a related field during which time, a good working knowledge of: typical lab instrumentation, lab test equipment, proper testing techniques, and safety awareness has been learned.
  • Test technician positions require an associates degree in Electronics, Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with ESD practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform: electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, environmental testing, address issues and conduct immediate resolution.
  • Perform Test Equipment set-up, and test check out prior to testing.
  • Accurately complete test data, update test logs, eqpt maintenance logs.
  • Demonstrate and cross train ATP on 2 or more product lines including set-up.
  • Troubleshoot and process test incident failure and review Test Engineering procedure for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform, shadow and trained Test Technicians other job functions such as assembling, calibrating, running self-test on ITA’s or Test cables.
  • Supports Test leads to attends other Department huddle to be abreast of the priorities and constraints.
  • Notify Supervisor and/or higher ups of status updates and test incidents and suggest any resolutions.
  • Performs assigned Preventive Maintenance and support to collect, turn-in and pick-up calibrated Test Equipment.
  • Comply with Company Safety Trainings, Policy, Security Policy, FOD and 6’s programs.
