Performs the set-up, testing and troubleshooting of X-ray tubes, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from work instructions, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. Will also perform loading/assembly of tubes for testing. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems because of testing. Recommend solutions to technical problems. Coach and train other operators on testing techniques to improve individual and team performance. Becomes subject matter expert in tube testing and problem solving including: Trouble Shooting Generator Failures/Problems Trouble Shooting Test Failure ("E" codes, tube setup, coolant issues, etc.) Rad Leakage Trouble Shooting Maintain test equipment Perform MES edits X-ray tube assembly Repair testing supplies (test hoses, beam traps etc.) Advanced Digital focal spot trouble shooting (Temporarily changing test parameters) Close NCMR's
