Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Theatre, Communication Arts, or related field required
Demonstrated experience in theatre direction, choreography, or performing arts education.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage students and educators effectively.
Willingness to travel regionally for recruitment events.

Responsibilities

Represent Bluefield University's Theatre Program and the Communication Arts - Theatre Concentration at area high schools, community colleges, and community events.
Conduct engaging workshops, classroom presentations, and performance demonstrations to attract and inform prospective students.
Build and maintain relationships with theatre educators, guidance counselors, and community theatre organizations to enhance recruitment pipelines.
Assist the Admissions and Communication Arts teams in developing marketing materials, digital content, and outreach strategies for theatre recruitment.
Provide reports on recruitment activities and prospective student engagement.
Serve as assistant director and/or choreographer for Bluefield University Theatre and Bluefield Youth and Community Theatre productions.
Collaborate with faculty, students, and community members to support creative direction, staging, and rehearsal processes.
Participate in production planning meetings and contribute to the season's artistic vision.
Assist with auditions, casting, and coordination of student performers.
Support theatre events, performances, and outreach efforts as assigned.
