MSPCC, a division of Eliot Community Human Services, is seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Mentor to join our team. Our Child, Youth, and Family Behavioral Health Services span a comprehensive continuum of care, including Intensive Care Coordination, Family Support and Training, In-Home Therapy, Therapeutic Mentoring, and Outpatient Counseling. Our work is collaborative, family-driven, and youth-guided, with a strong focus on each individual’s strengths, needs, and preferences. As a Therapeutic Mentor, you will make a meaningful impact by working one-on-one with youth in their communities, helping them recognize their strengths, build life skills, and develop confidence - all while fostering positive, engaging experiences. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills, and have a genuine passion for working with youth and families. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Prior experience working with children and youth, preferably within behavioral health, or human services settings
  • Experience providing services in community-based environments
  • Flexibility to meet children and families in the afternoons and early evenings
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one support to youth in the community to help them build strengths and develop life skills
  • Use a Wraparound Approach to understand youth needs and advocate on their behalf until they can self-advocate
  • Conduct weekly visits with youth, maintain regular contact with families and care planning teams, and contribute to ongoing treatment planning
  • Collaborate with child-serving systems such as behavioral health, DCF, DMH, schools, and local community resources
