The role of the Therapist is to Participate as a member of the Crisis Team to provide Crisis services to clients including intervention, assessment and supporting our local 24-hour Care Line. Utilizes a variety of treatment approaches and case coordination to work with a diverse client population and many community partners. This position is responsible for meeting with clients in a self-defined crisis and providing support utilizing a variety of treatment approaches and in continuity with existing treatment providers and treatment team members. The therapist will accurately complete ATU admissions, Axis Health System enrollments, and referrals to higher levels of care when needed. Crisis Intervention Specialist will be primarily based out of RCC-Durango. They will focus on walk-ins, hospital assessments and assessments in Withdrawal Management. Mobile Crisis will be paired with an EMT to provide holistic co-responses within the community across our five-county catchment area. The Therapist will demonstrate knowledge in the following areas: Axis Health System and community resources, mandatory reporting, homicidal, suicidal, and grave disability assessments, executing 27-65 functions surrounding involuntary mental health commitments and staffing cases regularly.
