About The Position

As directed by our therapists, the Therapy Coordinator will plan, coordinate and implement the delivery of durable medical equipment (DME) to meet our participant's personal and medical care needs.  The Therapy Coordinator is responsible for completing all paperwork with vendor for the purchasing of DME as approved by the medical team. The Therapy Coordinator will also provide basic unskilled individual and group services, including wellness programming to participants under the direction of a licensed Occupational or Physical Therapist in accordance with the appropriate state practice acts.  The Therapy Coordinator completes documentation, assists as directed with daily/monthly maintenance of equipment, and helps to maintain the cleanliness of the therapy environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year working with the frail or elder population providing hands on care.
  • Experience using office equipment, clerical skills and phone etiquette.
  • Experience using Microsoft software.
  • Initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Discretion, tact, patience, and good judgment.
  • Empathetic and compassionate attitude in caring for the elderly.
  • Ability to understand and carry out non-technical verbal and written directions, record messages, and keep records.
  • Ability to get along well with others and gain the cooperation of participants.
  • Physical and emotional ability to carry out assigned tasks.
  • Routine work involving the personal care and program activities of participants.
  • Neat appearance.
  • Proven record of excellent attendance.
  • Good organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible.
  • Valid Driver's License for state of residence

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a restorative nursing assistant in a long-term care environment is preferred but not required
