We're hiring a Thermoforming Operator 2 with some manufacturing experience to setup and operate their assigned thermoforming machine. Will work with rigid plastics that are heat formed to meet daily production goals according to customer specifications and be a team player. A positive attitude, dedicated work ethic and commitment to a safe work environment are musts. This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment with constant standing required and frequent moving, bending, walking, reaching, lifting, squatting, pushing, pulling and turning. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience
  • Technically capable and mechanically inclined
  • Auto, semi auto, manual equipment operation
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Ability to read a Tape measure
  • Ability to read and understand calipers
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and recommunicate
  • Ability to accurately operate a calculator.
  • Must be able to use a computer
  • Must be able to read and understand drawings
  • Good time management
  • Ability to follow, understand and execute direction as given to you by your Supervisor.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • Must be capable of regularly lifting up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lifting up to 80 lbs. assisted.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately reads and operates machines computer console.
  • Manually loads and unloads parts.
  • Label parts accurately, performing traceability and backflush processes.
  • Certified forklift operator.
  • Load and unload the oven.
  • Perform proper calibration procedures as needed
  • Read and understand manufacturing orders and the dispatch list.
  • Maintain equipment operating documentation
  • Ability to suggest methods to reduce setup time and machining through process improvements
  • Ensure all equipment and tools are in good working order and are free of safety hazards.
  • Regular attendance and the ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Document daily scrap.
  • Performs traceability and backflush process.
  • Maintains cycle times.
  • Communicates safety and maintenance issues to supervisor
  • Analyze engineering drawings and manufacturing orders
  • Examine parts for defects and measure parts to ensure conformance with specifications
  • Any additional duties as assigned
