About The Position

Thread/form roll operators work without supervision to setup and operate and adjust thread/form roll machines to produce all required product types including complex rivet components. Operators also demonstrate intermediate trouble shooting abilities and perform setups, while providing communication between production and engineering. They will also demonstrate intermediate knowledge of thread/form roll tooling configurations and function, including form packages, and complex feeding systems.

Requirements

  • The ability to read and write English.
  • Advanced print reading & inspection processes
  • Intermediate familiarity of thread roll tooling & equipment & material
  • Intermediate trouble shooting
  • Timeliness and dedication to the job.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Adhere to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Use measuring instruments: calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, drop gages, pin gages.
  • Document 2 pieces every hour.
  • Understand and follow the 3-pan rule.
  • Thread the following material: 8747 steel, 15-7 stainless steel, 8286 stainless steel, titanium, inconel, monel, and aluminum.
  • Operate 2 die packages (stationary and moving dies).
  • Correctly interpret work orders and blueprints
  • Lift up to 35lbs
  • Assist in the development of new hires & machine setups of Waterburys, EWMs, Roys, and Warrens
  • Work alongside engineering for research and development of tooling.
  • Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
