About The Position

The position involves maintaining a safe and healthy work environment specifically in the Sorting, Cutting, Rectification, and Wrapper areas of the plant. The individual will ensure adherence to all safety protocols throughout the plant and follow the Quality Management System, which is certified to ISO 9001:2008 for all sorting operations. Responsibilities include performing necessary LOTO audits, assisting in delivering weekly safety training materials, and ensuring product specifications are followed throughout the Sorting Department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for Sorting, Cutting, Rectification, and Wrapper areas.
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols throughout the plant.
• Follow the Quality Management System certified to ISO 9001:2008 for sorting operations.
• Perform necessary LOTO audits and assist in delivering weekly safety training materials.
• Ensure product specifications are followed throughout the Sorting Department.
• Review BC and Pack-Stock audits with operations and audit departments.
• Assist the Sorting Supervisor in coordinating operations of sorting, cutting, rectification, and wrapper areas.
• Train all new hires on safety, quality policy, management systems, and operations of sorting equipment and product knowledge.
• Work with the maintenance team to develop and sustain operator basic care programs.
• Fill-in and relieve responsibility for all sorting job functions.
• Understand pallet and box LGV programs and assist the plant LGV coordinator with scheduling duties.
• Perform other duties as needed.
