Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Will consider 3-5 years relevant experience in manufacturing
  • Experience as a multi skilled operator in his/her area of responsibility
  • Good knowledge of production processes, measurement and inspection procedures,production planning and control, MS-Office and SAP
  • Ability to work with others, collaborate and use persuasion to accomplish the work
  • Familiar with computer programs
  • Strong communication stills and able to resolve conflict

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer 2 year technical degree
  • will consider OTJ experience with Schaeffler

Responsibilities

  • Lead production activities to ensure that products meet all requirements and to achieveKPIs agreed.
  • Determine manufacturing priorities to match weekly production schedules and makerespective assignments.
  • Direct personnel actions, including selection, training, performance appraisal and safetyprocedures.
  • Direct routine equipment set-up and maintenance and check for accomplishment.
  • Establish instructions and refine procedures, when necessary, in order to contribute toimprovements in QCD.
  • Responsible for promoting a safe work environment and safe work habits in all employeesð§ I n s u r e s a l l e m p l o y e e s a r e s a f e t y c e r t i f i e d ð§ I n s u r safety training
  • Responsible for creating a motivating atmosphere of trust and open communication where:
  • Monitors and evaluates KPI goals for the work area and holds each individual accountable
  • Monitors absenteeism – supports PL in appropriate disciplinary action when needed
  • Evaluation of employees – Provides feedback to manager for employee evaluationpurposes and attends performance feedback
  • Understands the relevant processes of his/her area
  • Works in operator capacity to facilitate training of less experienced associates and tocover unplanned absenteeism or emergencies.
  • Has advanced technical skills and can perform change over, machine set up's andtrouble shooting and machine repair.
  • Reports KPI's to management during the daily walks
  • Implements continuous improvement and cost saving activities
  • Responsible for conducting layered audits to insure employees are following SOP’s /Work Procedures
  • Responsible for shift to shift communication and knowledge transfer regarding priorityitems, down time etc.
  • Supports training and development in the development and enhancement of trainingmaterial
  • Assist Engineering when assessing employee readiness for labor grade promotions
