TLC Operations Technician Lead Classification: Non-Exempt, Hourly Summary: The primary responsibility of the Operations Technician Lead is to mentor departmental employees and provide constructive feedback and training to improve their performance as well as ensure that production and quality standards are achieved. Primary Responsibilities could include the following: Inspects, triages and tests defective wireless electronics. Disassembles and repairs or replaces loose, worn, or defective components and wiring, using hand tools. Counts, scans, and receives inventory. Remains current on all assigned training courses. Ensures that all repairs meet or exceed repair standards. Adheres to repair best practices and safety procedures. Act as team lead for Operators and Technicians, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and Asurion standards are upheld. Mentors, coaches, and trains repair technicians with existing and new procedures as they are implemented. Report team status and development opportunities to Operations Supervisor. Any other duties assigned by Leadership based on business needs/customer risk. Direct daily activities of the department’s employees to complete daily workload and other tasks assigned by supervisor. Develop and implement all necessary job aids or reading materials. Conduct skills training and provide comments and progress reports to the Supervisor. Coach employees to ensure productivity levels meet or exceed accepted requirements. Make recommendations for improvements to the department’s processes to increase efficiency and productivity. Promote Asurion Core Values and coach the employees’ adherence to those values. Empower and challenge others to their highest level of potential. Understand the impact of changes on your department and effectively lead your direct reports through the changes. Collaborate pro-actively and successfully across departmental boundaries. Audit new and existing employees to assure training is completed accurately and all employees are following the work instructions provided. Monitor the production area and move manpower as needed throughout all areas of the department to meet or exceed daily productivity requirements. Investigate inventory discrepancies as needed in department Here’s what you’ll bring to the team : Minimum of 1 year of Electronic Repair Experience - preferred Proven leadership skills and driving results and success through teamwork. Demonstrate the ability to understand and apply problem solving techniques in day-to-day activities High energy level (positive attitude), detail oriented, exhibit a sense of urgency and initiative to perform in a fast-paced environment. The person must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in a repetitive motion. This person must be able to lift to 20 pounds.
