About The Position

The TMS Manager is responsible for leading the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of RLS Logistics’ McLeod Transportation Management System (TMS). This role is critical to our digital transformation initiatives and partners closely with operations, IT, and business stakeholders to drive efficiency, automation, and continuous process improvement across transportation operations.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with McLeod TMS
  • Proven experience designing and managing workflows using McLeod FlowLogix
  • Strong understanding of transportation operations including brokerage, dispatch, and carrier management
  • Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or major system enhancements
  • Experience with TMS integrations and data exchange (EDI, APIs, flat files)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Project management experience with system implementations or major upgrades
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment

Nice To Haves

  • SQL Server or database query fundamentals
  • Experience with TMS integrations and data exchange (EDI, APIs, flat files)
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services and Logic Apps

Responsibilities

  • Exemplify all core values and guiding principles of RLS Logistics.
  • Serve as the primary system administrator and subject matter expert for all McLeod TMS modules.
  • Lead the configuration, customization, and ongoing optimization of McLeod TMS and FlowLogix workflows.
  • Design and implement automated workflows to streamline transportation operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within brokerage, dispatch, and carrier management workflows.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
  • Train and support end users across operations, customer service, and accounting teams.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with McLeod support as needed.
  • Manage system updates, testing, and deployment of new features and enhancements.
  • Generate reports and analytics to support operational and leadership decision-making.
  • Support business intelligence initiatives and data integration projects (EDI, APIs, flat files).
  • Collaborate with leadership on AI-assisted development initiatives and code automation projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
