About The Position

Tool Coordinator (Tooling Services) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Tool Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, WA. Position Responsibilities: Assesses manufacturing requirements and verifies customer requests. Coordinates with support organizations to resolve manufacturing issues. Works with contract administrators to develop and maintain procurement specifications and standards. Provides guidance and improvement suggestions to outside suppliers and other analysts. Participates in the analysis and research of new technology to provide state of the art cost-effective products. Gathers manufacturing and product information to develop and recommend solutions to manufacturing requirements. Investigates changes in manufacturing requirements and support emergent requests. Analyzes, procures and oversees procurement processes for manufacturing tool services products and services. Explores all possible options to resolve potential impacts to budget and manufacturing schedules. Supports the evaluation of outside supplier performance and verification of compliance with procedures and contract specifications. Participates in the development and management of overhead and capital budgets for the acquisition and inventory of tool services products. Reviews on-hand inventory and coordinates re-distribution. Participates in the plans for the removal of obsolete inventory. Works under limited supervision. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options. This position is for 1st shift.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in supplier management or supply chain management
  • 1+ years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
  • 1+ years of experience do you have managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
  • 1+ years of experience working with suppliers in a technical capacity
  • 1+ years of experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience do you have in root cause analysis and Corrective action?
  • 3+ years of experience with various contract types for example: Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus
