About The Position
The Tool and Die Technician is responsible for performing all Tool and Die department–related activities, including troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of dies and tooling.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Tool and Die experience or a 2-year degree/training certificate in Tool and Die
- Experience with manual mills, drill presses, lathes, and surface grinders
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Ability to read precision measuring instruments
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day
- Steel-toed boots or shoes required
Nice To Haves
- CNC mill/lathe experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain dies and tooling
- Perform preventive maintenance on tooling and equipment
- Work closely with the department manager to resolve tooling issues
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Use precision measuring tools to ensure quality and accuracy
