Your Mission The Tool Kitting Manager is responsible for leading, organizing, and optimizing all kitting functions related to assembling, structuring, and preparing aircraft manufacturing tool kits. This leadership role requires technical knowledge of production tooling needs by job station, strong customer interaction skills, and the ability to manage a dedicated team and tool‑kitting warehouse. Responsibilities include defining tool lists and kit configurations, managing tool warehouse flow, conducting workshops with customer teams, and ensuring all kits meet quality, visual, and functional expectations.

Nice To Haves

  • 5–7 years of experience working directly with tooling, kitting, material flow, or production‑line support.
  • Experience working in 3PL or in‑house logistics environments supporting manufacturing or aerospace.
  • Experience in supply chain, logistics support, tooling, materials management, or warehouse operations.
  • Customer-facing experience working with operators, supervisors, or production management.
  • Experience with warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, stock management, and traceability.
  • Experience using ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and digital tracking tools.

Responsibilities

  • Team & Operational Leadership: Manage, lead, and develop the team of operators responsible for kitting activities. Allocate daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure performance meets standards. Support and coach the kitting/tooling team to meet production and customer needs.
  • Kit Definition & Design: Define tool lists, box requirements, foam layouts, and labeling standards. Oversee foam‑cutting machine usage and scheduling. Ensure RFID tagging and digital traceability. Build and validate kits that meet customer visual and functional expectations.
  • Customer Collaboration: Lead workshops with customer operators and managers to analyze tool usage. Maintain strong relationships with the customer and ensure satisfaction.
  • Execution & Quality Control: Ensure kits are accurately assembled and compliant with required standards. Maintain stock levels, inventory accuracy, and warehouse organization. Guarantee all completed kits meet customer quality requirements.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze current processes and implement improvements. Monitor KPIs, reduce waste, and improve kit creation workflows.
