Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of CNC machining experience
  • 2+ years of tool room experience
  • Experience with Bridgeport mills and engine lathes, surface grinding, and drilling.
  • Ability to read, understand, and utilize procedures, sketches, and blueprints as well as perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsibilities

  • Complete machine set-up and load tools as required
  • Utilize tool room equipment such as Bridgeport Mills, engine lathers, surface and internal grinding equipment, hand tools, drills, saws, insert tooling, etc.
  • Ability to read blueprints, hand sketches, and specs. Ability to use CAD or other digital design tools to document ideas or work closely with an engineer to complete this task
  • Perform Jaw cutting and re-cutting.
  • Set fixture offsets as required.
  • Verify correct tool hardware, tool diameter, tool radius, drill length, and end mills.
  • Verify accuracy of tool offset changes as needed.
  • Perform periodic inspections of calibration.
  • Maintain accurate work records.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to inspect parts.
  • Support our team concept and learn/perform other duties as required.
  • Run production machines as needed
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with others, both written and verbal.
  • Follow and promote safe work practices.
  • Support LEAN initiatives.
  • Lift light to medium weight in an environment that may occasionally require crouching, stooping and/or awkward work positions.
  • Support the design of tools and fixtures
