POSITION SUMMARY: Provide tool room support for record keeping, inventory duties, receiving PM’s and work order details.

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, the Tool Room Inventory Specialist must be self-motivated, able to problem solve, detail-oriented, and able to stay on task.

  • Must be a self-starter and be able to accomplish a versatile and evolving workload.
  • Excellent in all forms of communication.
  • Skilled at Office365 platform.
  • Innovative, problem solver, flexible, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt well to change.
  • Knowledgeable in multiple computer programs and general math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive parts daily including gathering parts that come in via UPS or truck, matching the packing slip with parts received, matching the packing slip with the purchase order. Receiving the purchase order into JDE.
  • Breakdown Logs Daily. Collecting downtime sheets entering the information into the spreadsheet.
  • Label and organize bins daily. This includes Keeping bin locations update, making sure all parts are labeled, organizing the shelves and ensuring part are put away at day end.
  • Monitoring and upkeep of kitted material shelf.
  • Recycle Items weekly. Keeping track of all the used batteries, ballast and bulbs then taking to recycle when full.
  • Ensuring files are up to date, keeping all orders filed with the correct vendor and completing the year end rotation.
  • Making signs as needed on the dura label.
  • Purchase orders weekly to include tracking the part, communicating price changes, verifying parts are correct and following up on incorrect parts.
  • Organize and maintain spare parts and materials management system within budget to support maintenance activities, including accurate inventory accounting, sufficient stock quantities, sourcing, and procurement.
  • Planning work-orders in a CMMS; understanding plant timing requirements. These planned tasks will come from the maintenance manager and supervisor, plant action lists, CMMS planned activities as well as production and maintenance shift reports.
