As the Mechanic, you will perform general mechanic maintenance activities in a chemical production plant atmosphere to keep the production units and supporting facilities in the utmost reliable working condition. The Mechanic is expected to use sound judgment and broad-based mechanical knowledge to make decisions and repairs that will contribute to the overall plant efficiency, objectives, and policies. I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position? Perform work in compliance with chemical plant and specific area safety regulations including wearing/using all Personal Protective Equipment such as FR clothing, hard hat safety glasses, chemical protective clothing, full face respirators, SCBA, etc. Install, troubleshoot and repair various types of mechanical equipment including, but not limited to pumps, valves, compressors, reactors, tanks, heat exchangers, miscellaneous rotating equipment, etc. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment. Replace, align, and repair industrial mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment.
