PURPOSE: We are seeking an experienced Toter Truck Driver to transport oilfield mobile homes and oversized loads to and from locations throughout the Haynesville Shale . This position requires strong knowledge of DOT compliance, oversized load requirements, and oilfield safety practices while operating in active field environments.

Requirements

  • Less than High School Education
  • 3–5 years of experience hauling mobile homes or oversized loads, preferably in oilfield environments.
  • Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, oversized load requirements, and oilfield safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently in remote field locations and changing weather and road conditions.
  • Current or ability to obtain oilfield safety certifications (e.g., H2S Awareness, SafeLand, PEC , or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Transport oilfield mobile homes and oversized loads using semi tractors to and from active oilfield locations in the Haynesville Shale.
  • Coordinate delivery and assist with proper placement of mobile homes on oilfield leases and job sites.
  • Operate Class A commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT, FMCSA, company policies, and customer safety requirements.
  • Ensure oversized loads are properly permitted, flagged, and equipped with required signage prior to travel.
  • Safely operate on highways, parish roads, lease roads, and unimproved oilfield roads.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles and equipment are safe and compliant.
  • Maintain accurate DOT electronic logs (ELDs) and required paperwork, including Bills of Lading and permits.
  • Verify trucks and equipment have current inspections and required documentation.
  • Follow all oilfield safety policies, including PPE requirements, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and site-specific safety rules.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, escorts, and field personnel to ensure safe and timely deliveries.
  • Immediately report safety concerns, near misses, incidents, or equipment issues in accordance with company and customer procedures.
