About The Position

Village Travel is an award winning, family-owned company that operates a large fleet of over 200 charter motorcoaches. The Company began in 1980 and has since expanded its regional footprint and continues to grow into one of the largest full-service charter and tour operations in the Midwest. Tour Coordinator Duties/Responsibilities: The Tour Coordinator actively manages the planning and execution aspects of various group tours, which includes but is not limited to: booking hotel accommodations, attractions, restaurants, airfare, cruises and other trip-related tasks. In addition, the ideal candidate will also be capable of assisting with sales to vendors such as banks, churches, non-profits, etc. This position is on-site Full Time, Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. Ability to multi-task, adapt to change and think out of the box. Desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment. Possess a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to prioritize projects. Develop, maintain and manage vendor relationships. Exceptional math skills are required to compute various pricing for tours which involve negotiating rates with vendors. Demonstrate excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, & Outlook). Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the hospitality industry and/or knowledge of the travel industry is preferred.
