About The Position

Track and Field Officials (West Seattle Stadium) The Associate Recreation Council, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is looking for Track and Field Officials to officiate for City-wide Athletics. The Track and Field Officials will be responsible for officiating youth track and field events for youth aged 5-17. Your responsibilities would include timing all running events, hand out ribbons and taking measurements for field events. Schedule: Saturdays from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Location: West Seattle Stadium Start date: Saturday, April 18, 2026 End date: Saturday, May 16, 2026 Pay Range: $21.30-$23.00 per hour (with a starting pay rate of $21.30 per hour) Training Days: Virtual Orientation and Virtual Training (TBD) This is a part-time seasonal, non-benefited position Benefits include ARC Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) We are actively interviewing for this role, so if this role is a good fit for you and you want to learn more about it, please apply now.

Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age or over
  • Knowledge of Track and Field events is helpful but not required
  • Must enjoy working with children
  • Must be dependable and reliable
  • Must be a positive role model and exhibit appropriate sportsmanship to the participants and parents
  • If hired, must pass a criminal background check
  • If hired, must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and have a valid government issued ID
  • If hired, must sign up for direct deposit with either a checking or savings account or are willing to use a paycard
