About the position

The Trade Show & Event Marketing Manager is responsible for building the strategic vision and execution of MiiR’s global event marketing initiatives along with relevant sales and creative team members. This role drives brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth by overseeing all trade shows, sponsorships, internal connection moments and consumer-facing events, while ensuring seamless integration with sales and creative strategies. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, managing both internal teams and external vendors to deliver impactful event experiences. This job will require 20-30% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the strategic direction for MiiR’s global event and trade show sales initiatives in coordination with the sales team.
  • Align event marketing strategy with company-wide brand and revenue targets.
  • Manage the global events calendar, including trade shows, retail activations, and consumer-facing events working closely with Sales + Marketing Manager.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment across brand, operations, and sales.
  • Oversee the planning and successful execution of 10+ annual trade shows (domestic & international), 10+ consumer-facing events, numerous assisted partner events and occasional internal activations.
  • Lead full-cycle event execution including: venue selection, contract negotiation, permitting, signage, A/V, catering, transportation, merchandising setup, staffing, and day-of coordination.
  • Supervise all event logistics, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring consistency and excellence across all touchpoints.
  • Manage on-site activations and delegate responsibilities to team members, including direct report(s).
  • Ensure all legal, insurance, and regulatory compliance requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Brand + Creative for event collateral production and brand presence.
  • Work closely with brand, creative, and content teams to develop pre-event buzz, live social coverage, and post-event storytelling.
  • Define, track, and analyze event metrics such as attendance, engagement, revenue, and ROI.
  • Lead post-event debriefs and evaluations, identifying improvements for future events.
  • Provide data-driven insights and regular reporting to internal stakeholders.
  • Create, manage, and reconcile event and trade show budgets.
  • Negotiate vendor agreements, monitor invoicing, and manage cost control across all events.
  • Foster excellent communication and relationships with vendors, contractors, and venue contacts.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and service to partners and event attendees.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing large-scale and small-scale events (experience with events of 250+ attendees preferred).
  • Proven success in project management: creating scopes, timelines, tracking metrics, and post-event analysis.
  • Experience working with event vendors including rental companies, venues, A/V, catering, and print houses.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Budgeting experience with attention to cost efficiency and negotiation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with project management and CRM platforms is a plus (Asana, Hubspot).
  • Willingness to work extended hours and travel as needed.
