This is a 2nd shift position with some flexibility, either Sunday through Wednesday with 10-hour days or Sunday through Thursday with 8-hour days.

Requirements

• Must be dependable with attention to detail, excellent verbal communication along with documentation skills
• Must stay up to date with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical and regulation publications
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking, with the ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Ability to listen, understand and follow directions
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the area

Responsibilities

• Determines trailer condition by conducting inspections; identifying worn and damaged parts
• Keeps trailers available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules and correcting trailer deficiencies.
• Maintains trailer records by annotating services and repairs
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
• Provide complete and accurate paperwork detailing repairs
• Maintain cleanliness of tools and work area at all times
• Other duties as needed
