About The Position

The Training Specialist works under the direct supervision of the Department Head of Training. This (position) assists with the design, delivery of training programs, implementing, and evaluating companywide training programs that support regulatory compliance, leadership development, and strengthening workforce capability.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ related experience required.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Strong adult teaching skills
  • Translate English to Spanish
  • Proof of measles vaccination or updated titers prior to initial contact with animals.
  • Current results of TB testing or be tested prior to initial contact with animals. Annual tuberculosis screening is required of all employees.
  • Employees may occasionally need to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment in each area as described by SOPs.
  • Has the ability to withstand ambient temperatures which may exceed 90°F.
  • Personnel must be able to carry out the essential functions of this position with reasonable accommodation if disabled.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and updating training materials, job aids, and SOP based content.
  • Facilitate trainings in English and Spanish as applicable.
  • Partner closely with leaders and HR to identify capability gaps and design learning that directly supports business priorities
  • Lead the new hire orientation and standardize the onboarding framework across all departments.
  • Manage LMS tracking and generate training compliance reports.
  • Assist with the measurement of the company’s training effectiveness using KPIs (knowledge assessments, behavior change indicators, etc.)
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with company’s best practices.
  • Partner with leadership to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Assist with the continuous evaluation and improvement of the company’s training content and design.
  • Assists with the maintenance of training records and ensures audit readiness.
  • Partner with leadership team to identify readiness and succession needs.
  • Assist with the review of company standard operating procedures.
  • Complies with all regulatory guidelines, occupational health as well as health and safety programs, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Performs all other duties as required.
