Training and Development Intern
About The Position
Garney's Training and Development Intern in North Kansas City, MO will rotate through all facets of work in our T&D department to support career exploration and determine which area they would like to specialize in. This is an amazing opportunity to gain experience at a professional setting, assisting the development of training for a construction company. Specifically, this person will assist in project such as survey administration/design, post program data analysis, create data visualizations, and develop company communications to share key results. In addition, this intern will have opportunities to learn from program facilitators, assist with department admin, assist with workforce development programs (start date dependent), and learning management system (LMS) maintenance and support. Finally, this opportunity allows for the ability to learn about the behind the scenes work of content creation and instructional design of Garney programs. Anyone interested in the following careers will find relevant experience in this role: Facilitation of employee development programs; Organizational training Assessment, Evaluation, and Research for leadership development Training and Development Administration Or any human development focused occupation
Requirements
- We are seeking juniors, seniors, or graudate students
- Students seeking degrees in Education, Journalism, Communications, Leadership Studies, Organizational Development, or other relevant fields are preferred, but not required
- A background in construction is not required
