The Training and Development Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and direction of training and development programs within an organization. This role involves assessing the skills and knowledge needs of the workforce, designing and implementing effective training solutions, and evaluating the impact of these programs on individual and organizational performance. The Training and Development Manager works closely with department heads and senior leadership to align training initiatives with the company's strategic goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience as a Training and Development Manager or in a similar leadership role within a corporate or organizational setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities to align training solutions with business needs.
  • A deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and a variety of training methods.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and other training technologies.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training and development strategy that supports the organization's mission and goals.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and areas for improvement across all departments.
  • Design, develop, and deliver a variety of training programs, including workshops, seminars, e-learning courses, and on-the-job training.
  • Accountable for the creation of training materials, such as manuals, presentations, online modules, and other educational resources.
  • Select and manage relationships with external training vendors and consultants, when appropriate, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of all training programs.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from trainees, managers, and stakeholders to continuously improve training content and delivery methods.
  • Prepare and present reports on training outcomes and employee development to senior leadership.
