About The Position

The Training and Evaluations Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive technical and operational training programs that ensure mission readiness and compliance across all UAS systems and support functions. This role oversees curriculum design, delivery, evaluation, and standards enforcement for operators, crew chiefs, Field Service Representatives (FSRs), and other mission-critical personnel. This position does not involve general HR or administrative training. It is focused exclusively on operational and technical training to ensure readiness and effective system employment. This position reports directly to the Senior Operational Support Manager and the Operational Support Manager.

Requirements

• 6+ years’ experience in training development and delivery within DoD or aviation environments.
• Familiarity with UAS systems and operational compliance standards.
• Ability to develop and manage technical training programs and manuals for complex systems.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for documentation, reporting, and presentation tasks.
• Ability to obtain and hold a DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Training Management: Design and maintain training curricula for UAS operations, payload systems, and mission support activities.
• Schedule, coordinate, and host training sessions delivered by subject matter experts and instructors.
• Manage logistics for training delivery, including facilities, equipment, and resources.
• Track and maintain training records, certifications, and qualification standards for all personnel.
• Standards & Evaluation: Develop and enforce training standards across all operational roles.
• Facilitate scheduling and coordination of evaluations and proficiency checks with qualified evaluators.
• Organize periodic audits and assessments through coordination with evaluators to maintain compliance and readiness.
• Create and distribute weekly status reports covering training and evaluations to leadership for operational visibility and decision-making.
• Ensure all training programs meet DoD and aviation safety compliance requirements.
• Work closely with Flight Operations Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure training aligns with operational needs.
• Create technical manuals, multimedia training materials, and e-learning modules.
• Evaluate training requirements based on mission objectives, regulatory standards, and the integration of new technologies into systems.
• Assess training effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics; implement improvements as needed.
• Research and integrate industry best practices and new technologies to continuously enhance training delivery and effectiveness
• May be required to deploy to operational locations to supplement crews, deliver on-the-job training (OJT), and assist with mission readiness activities.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support operational objectives.
