Our dedication to quality, exceptional customer service, and unequivocal results allow us to provide the best outcomes to our clients.   The Environmental Services (EVS) Training Manager is responsible for ensuring all new and current frontline associates are fully prepared to deliver exceptional cleaning quality, safety, and patient experience standards within a hospital setting. They will lead hands-on training, ongoing staff development, patient experience rounding, and housekeeper performance observations, while leveraging corporate training initiatives to guide daily instruction. This role demonstrates strong communication, organization, and leadership while serving as a key connection between frontline associates, EVS leadership, and corporate training partners.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in training, environmental services, hospitality, or healthcare support roles
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and establish effective priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
  • Demonstrates initiative, responsibility, leadership, and flexibility
  • Ability to remain organized and engaged while managing multiple responsibilities
  • Experience training or working with large teams and diverse workgroups
  • Proficient computer skills to include various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the internet

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver new‑hire training for hourly associates and management trainees through individualized coaching, small‑group sessions, and hands‑on instruction on the floor
  • Ensure associates are trained to independently perform cleaning tasks to standards
  • Support patient experience initiatives through direct engagement and observation of cleaning quality
  • Serve as a key resource for retraining, staff development, and consistent EVS practices
  • Manage a balance of administrative responsibilities and training
  • Provide clear communication and feedback loops to salaried EVS managers
  • Use corporate training initiatives to develop and guide daily training content
  • Customize training documentation, forms, and tools to meet site-specific needs
  • Prepare monthly reports outlining training activity, participation, and performance statistics
  • Serve as a liaison with other Training Coordinators, Corporate HR, and Corporate Training teams
  • Conduct housekeeper performance observations; identify gaps and provide retraining as needed
  • Facilitate training huddles, monthly town hall training topics, and ongoing education
  • Participate in patient rounding to support patient satisfaction and service recovery
  • Collaborate with the Office Manager and salaried managers for administrative tasks and sign-offs
  • Provide performance feedback and training updates to leadership.
