About The Position

This position is in the Training & Organizational Development (T&OD) unit within the Office of Human Resource Management (HRM) at LSU. The T&OD unit provides LSU with consulting, training, and assessment services that ensure continuous individual and organizational performance improvement. The T&OD Assistant manages all training logistics, assists in facilitation as needed, and manages the external communication for HRM, including the HRM website.

Responsibilities

  • Training Logistics and Support: Serves as the main contact and administrative support person for the Training & Organizational Development unit; answers emails from the HRM Training inbox; prints and prepares materials for T&OD workshops and events; handles scheduling and logistics for T&OD workshops/events including but not limited to booking rooms, catering, attendance, billing, and assisting with set-up; manages and tracks compliance for the Comprehensive Public Training Program (CPTP) and communicates to impacted individuals requirements; assists as needed with the compliance and tracking of LSU annual mandatory trainings; disseminates training evaluations and analyzes response data; maintains the Training & Event website for HRM.
  • HRM Communications: Works with SMEs to build content for the HRM newsletter, LSU First Newsletter, HRM emails to campus/specific employee groups, social media accounts, and Front desk TV slides; submits HRM communication to campus outlets including but not limited to News & Notes, Staff Senate Newsletter, etc.; maintains the HRM website; manages and updates the HRM Org chart and phone list; oversees the Digital Resource Library (DRL) and updates as needed.
  • Performance Management and Facilitation: Participates as a member of the performance management team including but not limited to updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), assisting with Workday testing, and reviewing training content; assist with coordination of New Employee Orientation, including emailing new hires, updating the PowerPoint, working with campus partners such as Parking, Campus Federal Credit Union (CFCU), and retirement vendors; hosts virtual meetings and trainings such as monthly HR Analyst meetings, HR Seminar and other virtual classes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
