Hope is a clinical, educational, and therapeutic provider for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Training Specialist I is responsible for training new and existing employees as well as coordinating, developing, implementing and revising employee trainings. The position helps provide oversight to the Hope Academies new employee training program as well as various supports to all Hope programs; interacts with employees, co-workers and other trainers in a warm, positive, helpful and professional manner; navigates various technology, software and websites daily; uses active listening and clear communication to navigate conflict resolution and embodies the mission and core values of Hope. The person must have the ability to successfully complete background clearance, physical & drug/alcohol screening, and the ability to qualify as a DCFS driver. The position requires travel to various Hope locations, up to 20% of working hours.
