About The Position

This position bridges the gap between operations and sales in the mortgage department. They are responsible for gathering documents from borrowers to aid in file set-up, borrower status communication, clerical duties as needed by the loan officer, pipeline management, and assistance with marketing as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 2 years mortgage experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial documents.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as payments, interest, discounts, fees, etc.
  • Strong time management skills, including ability to accurately prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of SAFE Act.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Encompass/Optimal Blue/DU/LP/GUS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Obtaining and reviewing necessary documentation from borrowers to assist in file set-up. Prepares file for submission to Processing Department.
  • Assist in providing an assessment of credit risk by examining individual credit/loan application for adherence to guidelines, policies and procedures determined by investor.
  • Assists with Pipeline Management - weekly reviews with Processors and Loan Officers, monitor rate expirations, follow up with appraisal and title orders. Follows file from start to successful closing.
  • Keep Loan Officer updated with status and identify issues that need their attention.
  • Prepare sales/marketing material for distribution to referral sources and/or clients.
  • Assists with client database management and alerts Loan Officer of all possible opportunities.
  • Answer customer inquiries related to active loan, and/or loan application status.
