The pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints if approved. JOB DUTIES Nebraska Public Transit is a lifeline for rural communities, providing access to healthcare, education, employment, and more. This position is an integral role not just in preserving but also in enhancing the Nebraska State Transit Program. As a Transit Projects and Programs Coordinator, this position will assist with the procurement of Public Transit equipment and services, including but not limited to writing, editing, and oversight of Transit Vehicle/Equipment purchasing, specifications, contracts, and inspections. Position is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the NDOT Federal Asset Inventory, Compliance Reviews, Training, Safety Plans, and National Transit Database reporting. In addition, an understanding of Federal and State policies is vital to the success of this position.
