About The Position

Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Superintendent – High Voltage Projects We are currently seeking an experienced Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Superintendent to oversee field operations on major power infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in high-voltage transmission lines, substations, and utility infrastructure , and be comfortable coordinating subcontractors, managing field crews, and maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience supervising Transmission & Distribution or Substation construction projects .
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, transmission structures, and substation construction .
  • Ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, and field productivity.
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, structural drawings, and P&IDs .
  • Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures .
  • Ability to lead field teams and coordinate multiple construction activities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee field construction activities for transmission and substation projects.
  • Supervise work related to high-voltage transmission lines, steel and wood structures, drilled piers, spread footings, grounding systems, and substation equipment .
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure work is completed according to project schedules and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor safety performance and enforce site safety procedures, including reviewing Pre-Task Analysis (PTAs) and Task Safety Observations (TSOs).
  • Maintain daily construction reports and documentation of field progress.
  • Work closely with project management to implement project procedures, schedules, and work plans.
  • Verify materials, equipment installations, and construction methods meet specifications.
  • Review drawings, manage RFIs, and assist with field change orders and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure the latest drawing revisions are being used in the field.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and engineering teams.
