About The Position
Moves patients to and from clinical, ancillary, surgery and support areas via wheelchair, bed or stretcher as requested to include transport of patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, Foley catheters and other special equipment.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- Must be knowledgeable in medical terminology and basic computer skills.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language.
- Ability to transport patients to various hospital locations; physical condition and emotional stability adequate to meet the demands of the position; able to push/pull an occupied patient bed.
Nice To Haves
- Previous employment in a healthcare setting i.e., CNA, Rehab technician, EMT, ED technician.
