About The Position

The Transportation Coordinator supports the transportation services for the Healthy Aging and Wellness Program (HAWP). This position is responsible for scheduling transportation of participants, meals, durable medical equipment and medications. This role will assist the Transportation Administrator in training of transportation staff, conducting monthly audits and reporting, and facilitating vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year experience in a transportation setting required.
  • One (1) year working with the frail and elderly. If not met, willingness to train on the complexities of serving a frail and elderly population is required.
  • Valid WA State Driver’s License and safe driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate a bus and provide back-up emergency driver coverage.
  • Must have active CPR and First Aid Certification within one month of hire.
