About the Role We are looking for a Transportation Engineer IV to join us in support of our DOT/Tribal Design team. This role will focus on general roadway design and stormwater infrastructure projects for a variety of public-sector and tribal clients within Western Washington. This role will be a mix of project delivery, client engagement, project management, mentorship and development of staff. This position can join our Puyallup, Seattle, or Silverdale office and work an office/hybrid schedule, coming into the office for team and client collaboration and integration.

Requirements

  • BSCE in Civil Engineering or a related field and 7+ years of experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager for transportation projects
  • Experience working on projects for one of the following (WSDOT, Tribes, Local Agencies such as Cities and Counties)
  • Experience supervising engineering staff
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, or stormwater modeling software.
  • Familiarity with local and state design manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or support the design and delivery of transportation projects, with a focus on roadway, grading, stormwater and drainage.
  • Lead and/or support the preparation of complete PS&E packages.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients through the project lifecycle to incorporate feedback and resolve design challenges.
  • Perform QA/QC for engineering deliverables.
