About The Position

The Transportation & Facility Maintenance Coordinator will coordinate the daily activities of the route system, help set and achieve goals for the route drivers, provide timely pickup and delivery services of all laboratory samples, field technician testing equipment and other related supplies. This position will schedule and coordinate all maintenance requirements and activities at the Marshfield Laboratory facility.

  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft products including but not limited to Excel and Word.
  • Scheduling flexibility and ability to work overtime as needed based on workflow, deadlines and or special projects.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the scheduling of drivers according to transportation needs
  • Pickup samples, equipment and related supplies from prescribed pickup locations and deliver all equipment and supplies to designated people and/or places at the respective drop locations.
  • Help drivers maintain accurate data entry in van log app.
  • Keep all communication and paperwork in good condition throughout transportation process for proper and expedient handling.
  • Coordinate the employment activities required to maintain the transportation system.
  • Perform adjustments to route driver schedules and recommendations for route changes that maintain efficient and cost-effective services to all customers.
  • Assist drivers as needed due to time off coverage and increased workloads.
  • Adhere to regulations and standard operating procedures, as well as train employees on routes and any customer protocols and procedures.
  • Schedule maintenance of company vehicles in accordance with AgSource policy and follow the maintenance schedule supplied by Element Fleet Leasing.
  • Maintain records of miles driven, vehicle expenses, other general maintenance items and submit to immediate supervisor weekly or monthly as each report is designated.
  • Ensure customer service through efficient and timely sample pickup and delivery.
  • Provide a consistent communications link between customers and AgSource and maintain a confidential mail delivery system for administrative management materials.
  • Coordinate all maintenance requirements for the structural, mechanical and landscape needs for the Menomonie Lab facility and real estate property.
  • Coordinate with drivers and management to perform changes, maintenance and updates as needed to the van log app and program.
  • Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned.
