About The Position

OFF SITE SHIFT START - 540 White Plains Rd. Tarrytown, NY, 10591 Assists in picking up and delivering various items between various internal and external hospital locations. Helps in escorting or transporting patients within facility.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior related experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in picking-up and delivering equipment, supplies, medications, specimens to various internal and external hospital locations.
• Handles items in accordance with operating procedures.
• Ensures timely delivery of items to appropriate locations; communicates delays in delivery / pickup time, as required.
• Operates transport vehicles both on and off property.
• Performs pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicle.
• Maintains vehicle mileage records.
• Operates all vehicles in accordance with applicable laws; fuels vehicles as necessary.
• Informs management of all vehicle activities and issues.
• Performs related duties as required.
