Farnsworth Group is seeking a Transportation Structural Engineering Associate – Entry-Level in one of the posting locations below. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program, or Architectural Engineering, with a concentration in Structural Engineering required
EIT Certification, required
0 - 2 years of Transportation or Structural experience, preferred
Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment who can work on and contribute to several projects simultaneously
Experience with MicroStation and/ or AutoCAD
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Must be willing to work outside in various weather conditions
The employee must frequently lift and/ or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds

Nice To Haves

Project experience in the design and construction of transportation structures preferred
Experience working with IDOT/ ISTHA projects/ clients preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare and develop structural planning, analysis and design for structural aspects of transportation projects that could include: steel plate girders, prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, substructures, foundations, box culverts, retaining and noise walls, interchange or river structures for highway and railway bridge projects
